Does Anyone Really Listen?
I have a real problem with people who don't listen. Whether its in conversation, making music, or on the phone. The simple fact that you're listening is a sign of respect. Respect for the person talking. So please "SHUT UP" and lend me your eyes/ears for a moment of time. Talking on the phone is part of how I make my living. Day in and day out I have people that are frustrated (can't comprehend) that at a piece of computer equipment, that is not that sophisticated in the first place, is causing them so much grief. They call me for assistance. I give them explicit instructions on how to solve their problem and yet they still can't follow my words. Simple step-by-step instructions on how to execute a program or piece of software so they can get back to work is why I am employed. Its not for me to say but, "Has the level of comprehension and reason gone by the wayside in our culture?" Honestly, if I didn't follow the rules at home I heard about it o...
